WHY THE UVC STERILISER BOX
The steriliser box destroys or eliminates all forms of microbial life ie. bacteria, viruses and pores including the
so called "Super Bugs" or resistant bugs VS general surface disinfectant that only eliminate or reduce some harmful micro organisms.
At home UVC sterilisers have proven highly effective and are available in a variety of applications ie. toothbrush cleaners, phone sanitiser etc.
HOW DOES IT WORK
Ultra violet light works by destroying the bonds that hold together the DNA of viruses , bacteria and spores.
IS UVC DANGEROUS
Close direct contact with UVC is harmful to skin cell tissue hence the Steriliser box is a sealed unit that does not allow operation when the light is on and lid is open.
Damage by UVC is dependant on exposure time and radiation wave length. UVC with a wave length window of 200-220 nm was proven to kill bacteria without associated skin damaging effects. ( Buonno et al. doi: 10.1667/RR0010CC.1)
